Egg Rolls

I recently purchased a Waring Pro Deep Fryer and wanted to test it out tonight.  So naturally, I made egg rolls.  Although doughnuts sounded like a good idea too.  I am horrible at making sweets, so I will stick with what I do best.

This deep fryer ROCKS. Super easy to assemble, use and clean.

Saute all your ingredients together in a skillet for 3-5 minutes, until cabbage starts to brown.  Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Now the dreaded FOLDING O’ THA EGGROLL.  Not that difficult actually.

Seal with a little water.  Then deep fry for 3-4 minutes at 350 degrees.  Or heat the oil in a deep skillet and do it that way. Just get the color nice and golden.  I made these first, so I turned the oven on to warm and let them sit in there.  Which worked out nicely because it drained some of the grease out.

Serve with duck sauce and chinese mustard.  Serves 4-6.
